dollar store find: flowers

I love the dollar store. I frequent dollar stores always looking for a good deal. And today I found one some of you might enjoy!
On my trip to my local dollar store, I arrived pleased to find these beauties. Just 99cents & $1.99 for the violet ones.
also in this photo:: 2 clay pots, 1 bag of soil, 4 assorted flowers. [before]

All of these items were purchased for a total of $9.
Not to shabby for under $10. just some nice flowers for the front porch, or something nice for the inside.

the small pinks ones stayed outside and the long violet ones went inside. Guess they couldn’t take the tejas heat.
I also don’t know if the clay pots helped them. I checked out a book from the Dallas Public library and I will learn
more about these plants and let you know in a future post.

If you’re looking to change the way you eat, The farmers market is a good way to start.
There are a ton of benefits to eating locally grown food. The fruit and vegetables are picked at their ripest and transported locally! Since the food is local that means it’s fresher, it has a better texture and the market air smells amazing! So that picky eater may acquire a new appetite for a variety of fruits & vegetables.

Hippocrates said, “Let food be your medicine.” I got some great food healing remedies that I have been wanting to test out for a while now but I never seem to get sick so stay tuned.

And since were still talking about the benefits, most of all you gain a great since of pride and have a guilt free conscious! [since you are lowering your carbon footprint]

Sometimes your local farmers market offer cooking classes at affordable prices. Just in case you have no idea how to cook your newly discovered fruits and vegetables.

don’t forget to pick up some fresh flowers and herbs!
